A Slipknot appeared near the city of Indio, California, at the same time as the band's website was updated.
The billboard image shows the band's logo and the URL youcantkillme.com . Next to the logo are the phrases "One Night Only" and "Long May You Die".
The site, which supposedly first appeared about a year ago, is simulated to mirror the look and feel of a 1999 website, humorously suggesting that users get “Netscape 4.0+ or Internet Explorer 4.0+” to capture “most of the cool stuff on this site.” It also hints at being a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the self-titled 1999 album.
The link also contains photos, with one of the most recent image files bearing the name [ONENIGHTONLY]. There is a biographical section that appears to have come from his 1999 introduction to fans and journalists, a guestbook with comments that supposedly came from attendees, all dated March 3, 2000, links to lyrics for all the songs on the self-titled album, and audio files for five of the tracks – “Eyeless”, “Wait and Bleed”, “Surfacing”, “Spit It Out”, and “Me Inside”.
Slipknot's return to the stage
Slipknot will return to live performances on April 27th at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, USA. Fans are hoping the band will reveal their new drummer by then, as no news has been released since Jay Weinberg last November.
The band is coming to Brazil to perform at Knotfest on October 19th and 20th. The festival will take place at Allianz Parque in São Paulo.
The full festival lineup will be announced soon, but tickets are already available on the official Eventim website.
The new edition comes with a novelty: celebrating their 25-year career, Slipknot has prepared a different presentation with a unique and unmissable set for each day, meaning the group will headline both days of the festival.
On the first day, October 19th, the band will present a repertoire celebrating their 25-year history. On the second day, October 20th, the group will play their debut album in its entirety.
