Slipknot has announced a partnership with Titan Forge Games, and soon the band members will become characters in the game Smite .
All nine members of Slipknot are participating and, just like in real life, the band's visuals are impeccable and well-constructed. The characters will appear in the update to version 9.5 of the game.
Each band member will have their own instrument, which will be modified to be used as a weapon. The percussionist Clown , for example, will use his instruments to take on a large form, while Jim Root will be able to use his guitar (which looks quite like an axe) to destroy his enemies.
According to a post on the Knotfest blog , the new version of Smite with Slipknot will have a music pack that includes "Duality," "Psychosocial," and "The Devil In I." As players act, fight, destroy objects, and kill enemies, the music pack will play in different sections of the game.
Smite is a free-to-play multiplayer game where you can control a god, goddess, or mythological figure. The gods can wear armor called a "skin," which is how the members of Slipknot will appear. In this crossover, you can choose to play as Poseidon, Chaac, and Raijin.
