Slipknot guitarist Jim Root undergoes vertebral surgery

Check the statement.

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root posted a photo on his official Instagram this week announcing to fans that he underwent surgery to repair vertebral and disc hemorrhages.

Root wrote: “It seems that fractured vertebrae and hemorrhaging discs are routine for Metal bands. So in the morning, after Louder Than Life, I took a plane to have the replacement surgery. I had the procedure Tuesday morning and although I'm a bit sore and exhausted from jet lag and medication, everything is fine.”

In June, Corey Taylor also underwent spinal surgery, and despite postponing Slipknot shows, the vocalist made it clear that he would be 100% recovered in 6 months. The band is not expected to postpone or cancel shows due to Root's surgery.
