Slipknot announced this Wednesday, the 7th, that sampler and keyboardist Craig Jones is no longer part of the band. The announcement was made through social media.
In a few words and without further explanation, the band wrote: “To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish him all the best for the future.”
The announcement comes on the same day that Shawn “Clown” Crahan notified fans that he will not be present at some shows on Slipknot's European tour because he will be at home with his wife, who is dealing with health issues. The band's first European tour show is scheduled for this Wednesday.
Craig Jones has not yet commented on his departure from Slipknot.
