Slipknot has confirmed that the long-awaited "lost" album Look Outside Your Window will finally be released on April 18th, in a special Record Store Day 2026.

The album is a collection of unreleased songs recorded by four members of the band during the sessions for their 2008 album, All Hope Is Gone. However, only one track from those sessions has been released to date, “'Til We Die”. Now, 15 years later, the album will be released with only 2,300 copies available.

Only four members participated: Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Shawn Crahan , and Sid Wilson. They created the project in parallel, with total freedom to experiment with sounds and ideas. Unlike the band's aggressive style, the work focuses on softer melodies and atmospheres. Featuring 10 tracks, the project includes vocalist Cristina Scabbiafrom Lacuna Coilon "Is Real" and "Cristina".

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Shawn Crahan commented on the singer's participation: “Jim and she were dating. She's a talented artist and was with us at the house where the sessions took place.” He continued: “I asked Jim, ‘So, what do you think about calling Cristina?’ He replied, ‘Absolutely.’ The first thing I did was ask her to create a poem, a letter of intent in Italian. I told her to write about batteries that are running out and can't be recharged. And she said, ‘OK.’ I still have the paper to this day. She put in a lot of effort, but I never read it or memorized it again. I just like to hear how it is. Jim and I were producing the text, really convincing her. In the end, you could feel it.”

Regarding the track “Is Real,” Clown said: “One of my favorite moments was when she finished, Corey Taylor arrived the next day and we said, ‘We have something to show you.’ He had already sung on the song, he thought Cristina was just going to recite the poem. But then she started singing, she completely gave herself over to it. I remember Corey stepping back a little and saying, ‘OK.’ He loved it, he was really surprised in a good way.”
