Clown , founder and percussionist of Slipknot, shares details of his worst on-stage injury in a recent interview with Vulture .

The artist admits to having suffered several injuries, but the worst was when "I tore my biceps in half on stage while hitting a barrel with a bat," he says.

Shawn Crahan, the musician's real name, gives a brief explanation of how the biceps works: "They're basically two strands, one on each side, that support the muscle," comparing them to "elastic bands that connect to the shoulder."

“I tore both of those things. My bicep was actually on my forearm. Like, it just fell off and my skin fell off with it,” the percussionist continues.

"People vomited when they saw it."

Crahan later underwent surgery where he lost "25% of that arm." He continues, recounting a story about how, when he tried to reach something on the top shelf of the refrigerator and thought he had gotten it, "whatever it was, it would fall."

In 2021, Clown ruptured his biceps tendon and underwent surgery during a performance at Knotfest Los Angeles .
