Shawn “Clown” Crahan , percussionist for Slipknot , has announced that he will not be present at the band's upcoming shows.

According to a social media , Clown will be absent indefinitely to be with his wife, who is dealing with unspecified "health issues."

“Hello to all our fans, this is Clown. I would like to take a moment to let everyone know that I am at home helping my wife with some health issues and will be back on the road as soon as I can. We've been through this before and, as always, we appreciate the love and support. See you soon,” wrote the percussionist.

This Wednesday, the 7th, Slipknot begins the European leg of their tour. In a recent interview, vocalist Corey Taylor revealed that the band will be touring South America between October and November . This period coincides with Knotfest Brazil , and the official announcement should be made within two weeks.
