The band finished the show without Venturella
Slipknot bassist Alessandro “Vman” Venturella was taken to the hospital yesterday, the 2nd, during a show in Connecticut. After the bassist left, Slipknot spent 20 minutes backstage before returning to the stage and finishing the show with one less member.
Upon returning with the band, Corey Taylor announced: “I’m sorry to say that our bassist Alex has… Something happened. I’m not sure what happened, but he was put in an ambulance and he’s going to the hospital now. But I want you to make a lot of noise for him. Send your love. Now, we had to choose between going back on stage or not. We had to modify some things, but we’re going to keep playing for you. That’s what we want, that’s what Alex would want.”
The band has not yet announced anything about Venturella's current state of health.
