Slipknot has announced the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg . The news was released on social media.
"We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for his dedication and passion over the past ten years," the band said in a statement.
Joey Jordison ’s sound, style or energy , but Jay honored Joey and contributed to the last three albums and we, the band and the fans, appreciate that. But as always, Slipknot intends to evolve. The band has decided to make a creative decision and part ways with Jay. We wish Jay all the best and are very excited about what the future holds.”
Jay Weinberg joined the band after Joey Jordison left in 2013. It has not yet been announced who will replace him.
With Slipknot, Jay recorded the albums .5: The Gray Chapter (2014), We Are Not Your Kind (2019) and The End, So Far (2022).
