Slipknot announces Chris Fehn's departure after musician sues the band.

Musician claimed he was not paid for his work in the band.

Slipknot announced the departure of percussionist Chris Fehn , a week after American media revealed that the musician was suing the band for not being paid.

In the statement , the group said they are “focused on making album number 6” and that Chris is officially out of the picture. “We are disappointed that he chose to point fingers and manufacture demands, instead of doing what was necessary to continue with Slipknot.”

“We would like to say that we would have preferred not to go down the path he wanted, but evolving in all matters is fundamental in life. Long live the 'Knot'.” Slipknot did not comment on the lawsuit and revealed that “Chris knows the reason for his departure.”

Fehn has been with the band since their first, self-titled album and is one of the highlights of Slipknot's live performances. Without Chris Fehn, the group will release the successor to .5: The Gray Chapter on August 9th. The album will feature the already released single "All Out Life" and its title has not yet been revealed.
