The information was revealed by Clown, percussionist of Slipknot.
Slipknot percussionist Clown spoke in an interview about the creative sessions for the new album, We Are Not Your Kind . He said the result was much bigger than expected and that a lot of music didn't make it to the final version of the album.
“Did we know this was going to be the album? No. Nobody knows,” he commented. “There are another 15 songs that didn’t survive the cuts – at least seven or eight of them were recorded, with vocals, that didn’t make it onto the album. There’s a lot of material.”
When asked about what will happen to these songs, Clown dodged the question: “Normally there’s a collection of recordings and you make an album out of it. So, we have to decide which ones go through the process that is the creation of We Are Not Your Kind .”
Slipknot's new album will be released on August 9th.
