"People will better understand what we did in All Hope Is Gone and what led us to it."
Shawn “Clown” Crahan revealed that Slipknot plans to release 11 new tracks from All Hope Is Gone . The album was released in 2008.
During the recording sessions, the band felt frustrated with the results. So, they separated Jim Root, Corey Taylor, and Sid Wilson into different studios to record "experimental and psychedelic" songs. Even though they didn't make it onto the album, Clown thinks they fit well with the more experimental tracks on We Are Not Your Kind . This would therefore be the right time to release them.
“We have a completely different album that we recorded during All Hope Is Gone ,” he said. “We have 11 tracks that we should be releasing soon. It was never just about releasing it, but about releasing it at the right time. I think now with the new album, people will better understand what we were doing with the album and what led us to it.”
