Following the release of “Emergence”, Sleep Token surprises with “Caramel”, a track that will be part of the band's upcoming album Even In Arcadia , to be released on May 9th by RCA Records .

The work is something completely new in terms of sound, incorporating several more danceable elements, but of course, without losing the band's characteristic heaviness and all its sincerity.

And speaking of sincerity, besides the new melody, the song's lyrics are quite personal and a little direct for the listener.

In one part of the song, vocalist Vessel sings about his personal experiences with fame and the spotlight. He says: “Every time they try to shout my real name just to annoy me / acting like I’m never stressed by rumors / I guess that’s what I get for trying to hide from the spotlight / I guess that’s what I get for having a 20/20 hindsight view.”

After this outburst, the vocalist continues: “This stage is a prison, a beautiful nightmare / A war of attrition, I will accept what is given to me.”

Born into a family passionate about music of various genres (more precisely, country music and Roberto Carlos), she discovered the good life of Rock and Roll at age 11 (she was Emo, but who wasn't?) through school friends, and hasn't stopped since. Hyper-focused (only on things she likes), she discovered genres that weren't popular at the time and became attached to them (yes, I'm a defender of Metal Espadinha, Folk, and Celtic). Involved with music behind the scenes and even on stage, she even played the saxophone (to play Kenny G). Currently, she plays piano and bass and fiercely defends the idea that you can be a metalhead (any kind) and cry to Corazón Partío. A graduate in Digital Social Media from Belas Artes, she is a Social Media Manager at a music school. She enjoys writing and defending her opinions so much that she became a contributor to the Wikimetal website's writing team.
