The Guns N' Roses guitarist then spoke about his favorite cover album: "I think Metallica 's Garage Days is one of the best cover albums of all time. It's awesome!"

Metallica's classic 1987 EP is officially titled The $5.98 EP: Garage Days Re-Revisited . The record features covers of Diamond Head , Holocaust , Killing Joke , Budgie , and Misfits .

At the time, Metallica already included Jason Newsted on bass, in addition to the original members James Hetfield , Kirk Hammett , and Lars Ulrich .

Slash also spoke about the Guns N' Roses cover album, The Spaghetti Incident?, released in 1993.

“I think Nazareth was one of the few songs that both Axl and I wanted to do. Everyone brought ideas of what covers we could record. It was a lot of fun and spontaneous. We recorded in several different studios.”

The Spaghetti Incident? is the only Guns N' Roses album that did not have a tour promoting it.
