Johnny Solinger, who was the vocalist for Skid Row from 1999 to 2015, is suffering from liver failure. Solinger was the vocalist on the albums Thickskin and Revolutions Per Minute , as well as the EPs United World Rebellion and Rise Of The Damnation Army .

The vocalist issued a statement on his official Facebook page:

"It is with a heavy heart that I must tell everyone what is happening to me and my health. Last month I was hospitalized and diagnosed with liver failure. The prognosis is not very good. As is the case with many artists, I don't have health insurance and it's very difficult to get adequate care without it."

"Currently I am taking at least 7 different medications and I need to constantly drain the fluid that accumulates in my abdominal area. I have lost a lot of my strength and will also need physiotherapy."

"Right now, I'm thinking about starting a crowdfunding campaign to help with medical bills and the palliative care I'll need in the coming months. I'm asking those who want to help to please volunteer. I wouldn't be asking this if I didn't really need the help, but unfortunately, that's where I am."

"I am grateful to everyone who wants to pray for me and send me positive energy, but since I get exhausted very easily, I ask that you only call or message me if it is absolutely necessary. But please, if you can help during this difficult time, I will be grateful with all my heart."

"I love you all. I'll be posting a link where donations can be made soon, but I wanted to update everyone on my current situation."
