Dave “The Snake” Sabo , guitarist and co-founder of Skid Row , knows the public's desire to see a reunion with Sebastian Bach . But not even lucrative offers for a comeback seem to convince the band to go in a direction contrary to what they believe in.
As he recounted in an interview with Loaded Radio (via Blabbermouth ), there was an attempt to reconnect with the former vocalist in 2016, but it didn't go beyond the initial contact. "We couldn't understand each other, we didn't even get past the simple point of exchanging text messages," he said.
Currently with ZP Theart on vocals, Sabo explained the band's current situation. “I’ve been asked a thousand times: ‘What about the money?’ And that’s fine, but if we’re only doing it for that, and I can speak for everyone, we probably will. I want to be happy, and I am very, very happy. And the guys are too, everyone is very happy,” he continued.
The guitarist argued that offers "of huge sums of money" can't change one fact: "I still have to be happy – and I am. And that's the most important thing. I need to be happy being in a band with these people. Many other bands might not even see each other until they get on stage, they travel on separate buses and all that stuff, and that's all very good, but I don't want to live my life like that. I don't want to be on stage and kind of living a lie, it just doesn't feel right," he concluded.
