Everyone Loves Guitar podcast , Scotti Hill , guitarist for Skid Row , spoke a bit about the progress in building the band's new album – their first of new material since United World Rebellion and Rise of the Damnation Army , both from 2014.
According to Scotti, Skid Row is working with Grammy-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz , whom he praised highly. “He has several projects going on, he’s a very sought-after producer who really wanted to work with us. He’s been a fan for years and we consider ourselves lucky to know that he’s taking the time to work with us. He’s fantastic. We did some pre-production work together and it was like having another cool band member in the room. Because we’re a band that gets along well – we’re all friends, we spend time together, and he fits into that perfectly,” he says.
Regarding the possible release date of the new album, Scotti Hill stated: “I don’t have a date yet, but it will be released – let’s say at the beginning of next year [2022], because we’re doing everything step-by-step.”
“I’m going to meet with Snake [ Dave Sabo ] in a few weeks to record all the guitars,” he continued. “I’m looking forward to doing it. We’re going to do something interesting this time – Snake and I are going to be in a room together and record our parts all at once instead of him showing up on a Thursday and me on a Friday. It’s going to be fun.”
Recently, the music world mourned the death of Johnny Solinger , former lead singer of Skid Row, due to liver failure.
