I have no doubt that there are 666 or more reasons for you to attend Via Marquês in São Paulo on July 1st, 2012, a Sunday night. But since space is limited, I will list only 6, however essential, reasons why you absolutely cannot miss this event!
1) Celebrating 25 years since the release of the album Soldiers of Sunrise, one of the first albums released and produced by a Brazilian band.
2) See and hear perhaps the best Brazilian Heavy Metal vocalist with his original full band. The guys are childhood friends and will certainly be thrilled with the show. They'll play with their hearts!
3) Listen to Viper's first two excellent albums, classics of Brazilian metal, played in their entirety for the first time ever.
4) Having the opportunity to witness great national metal idols enjoying, just like us, one of the pioneering bands of the genre that influenced many people.
5) For those of you who are "old school," reconnect with the 80s crowd who religiously went every Sunday to Grandes Galerias (now known as Galeria do Rock), in front of Woodstock Discos, Baratos e Afins, etc.
6) For those of you who didn't live through that era, it's a chance to feel a bit of the excellent vibe that existed in the early days of metal in our country and, above all, to help show that Heavy Metal is more alive than ever.
Does anyone want to add any other reasons?
I hope to be able to headbang on July 1st, 2012 with everyone who reads this.
