In 1991, Andre Matos left VIPER and bassist Pit Passarell took over vocals. The band released 'Evolution', which included the single 'Rebel Maniac' (Everybody Everybody). More focused on the European and American markets, 'Evolution' and the subsequent EP, 'Vipera Sapiens', expanded VIPER's success in Japan, where they surpassed names like Van Halen and Nirvana on the charts. The Japanese tour was recorded on the live album 'VIPER Live – Maniacs in Japan'.
In 1995, VIPER recorded the album 'Coma Rage' in Los Angeles, the heaviest of their career. The following year the band released the project 'Tem Pra Todo Mundo', in Portuguese. Guitarist Yves Passarell was replaced by Val Santos and in 2007 VIPER released the album of new material 'All My Life', with Ricardo Bocci on vocals.
In 2012, the band's classic lineup, with Andre, Pit, Felipe, Guilherme, and Hugo Mariutti (replacing Yves Passarell), hit the road with the historic 30-show 'To Live Again Tour', produced by Wikimetal to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the album 'Soldiers of Sunrise'.
In addition to the re-release of the classic 'Theatre Of Fate', Viper and Wikimetal Music are also preparing the release of the DVD of their 2012 tour, 'To Live Again Tour'.
