Toyshop is an alternative rock band from São Paulo, formed in 1993 by Val Santos, Gabriel Weinberg, and Guilherme Martin, originally called Party Up. Vocalist Natacha Cersosimo, 16 years old at the time, took over the vocals, and the band recorded their first demo, Beerock, that same year. The demo had a great impact on the underground music scene in Brazil, even being released by the defunct Banguela Records label, and earning a recording contract with them. Party Up frequently performed throughout Brazil's alternative music scene, which was very strong at the time. Their first album was recorded in the United States and produced by Igor Cavalera. | ![]() |
