Iommi doesn't know if it's cancer
In an interview with The Irish Times, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi revealed that a lump has been found in his throat and will be removed surgically. Iommi made it clear that it is not known if it is cancer
“I went for a check-up four weeks ago and the doctor said there was no worsening where I had cancer, but that there is activity in my throat. When I return to England I will have to have an operation to remove this at the back of my nose. The doctors found a lump there and we don't know if it's cancer or not, but I feel okay at the moment.”
In August, Iommi had announced that he was in remission but that the cancer could return one day.
