Guitarist underwent examination after European tour

Guitarist Tony Iommi told the British newspaper Birmingham Mail that after the European dates of Black Sabbath's tour, he returned to Spire Parkway Hospital for a check-up. According to the musician, his cancer is in remission.

"Everything is going well so far. I'm in remission and hope to stay that way. The chemotherapy and subsequent treatment seem to have been effective, but I'm aware that it could come back someday.".

Praising the hospital, Iommi said: “I come here regularly for check-ups. This is something I’ll have to do for the rest of my life, looking for signs that the cancer might be coming back.”
