Iron Maiden reveals the new Ed Force One
Iron Maiden today released on their official website the first details of the tour for their new album, "The Book Of Souls," which will be released on September 4th. According to the band, members will travel on the new Ed Force One, a Boeing 747-400 piloted by Bruce Dickinson, passing through 35 countries.
The official statement says that details are still being finalized, but it already reveals that the tour will begin in the US in February, passing through Central America in March, and then on to Argentina, Chile and "several shows in Brazil" before returning to the US at the end of March. The tour marks Iron Maiden's first visit to El Salvador and China.
Bruce Dickinson commented on the task of piloting a plane almost twice the size of the last Ed Force One: “Although we’ve sorted out all the logistics of traveling with such a huge plane on tour, I still have to learn how to fly it before we can go anywhere! So I’m currently doing my training to qualify as a pilot and captain of a Boeing 747. ”
