The case should last a week
Led Zeppelin musicians Robert Plant and Jimmy Page appeared in court yesterday for the first day of the trial in the case of Michael Skidmore vs. Led Zeppelin et al., which investigates the plagiarism of " Stairway to Heaven ." The composer of the song "Taurus ," Randy Wolfe of the band Spirit, who died in 1997, was represented by the Randy Craig Wolfe Trust.
The first day of the trial focused on jury selection, which has already excluded one juror who confessed to being a big fan of Led Zeppelin.
According to the judge, the trial should last three or four days, with a limit of 10 hours of case work per day.
Michael Skidmore, representing the Randy Craig Wolfe Trust, is seeking financial compensation and songwriting credits for " Stairway to Heaven .
