"We deserve this"
The nominees for the 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were announced this week, and Rob Halford spoke about Judas Priest being on the list.
“This is our Oscar,” he said, “When the list of nominees comes out and the introductions are made, you imagine what it would be like if you could be on that stage, at that moment, giving an acceptance speech and have the pleasure of being in the company of other musicians and people from the industry. So yes, if we are inducted into the Hall, it will be a dream come true .
Halford also says that the fact that Judas Priest, a metal band, is nominated is great, because the genre has always been neglected and is now receiving the attention it needed, "we deserve this ," he adds.
Judas Priest, Bon Jovi, and Rage Against the Machine are just some of the names on the list of 19 nominees for the 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
