Niper Boaventura (vocals and guitar), Cassique Derenji (guitar), Gabê Almeida (drums), and Anderson Bosco (bass) form PullDown, an alternative metal band formed in the city of Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, in 2000. The group, which has undergone recent lineup changes, has been based in São Paulo since 2008 and represents a subgenre of heavy metal that gained considerable popularity in the early 1990s. With an aggressive and incisive sound, provocative and realistic lyrics, PullDown draws inspiration from bands such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Pantera, Down, and Red Fang. In this new phase, the band continues to produce material. In 2012, they released the EP Sybil, recorded, produced, and mixed by vocalist Niper Boaventura. Also in 2012, the band began the Conceito project, where they recorded songs by bands that shaped their musical identity. An example of this was their recording of "Papai Noel Filho da Puta" by Garotos Podres, released in 2013, obviously at Christmas. |

The band is now focusing its attention on promoting its new work. In November 2013, the singles "Masdar" and "Essência Escondida" were released via Wikimetal Music, produced by renowned music producer Paulo Anhaia. Also in December, the band embarked on its first international tour in Argentina and closed the year with a sold-out show in Porto Alegre, at Bar Opinião. The year 2014 should solidify the band's name in the Brazilian metal scene.
