Case documents reveal accusation.
A woman from Spokane, Washington, has accused the four members of the Polish band Decapitated of gang rape on the night of August 31st. The woman had previously accused the band of kidnapping her, but legal documents in the case revealed the rape charge.
According to the victim, she and a friend were at the Decapitated concert and after the show ended, they went to talk to the band members, who invited them for drinks on the band's tour bus.
According to case documents, the woman described “being excited to go on the bus with the band, and then one of the members started grabbing her breasts.” The document describes that the victim “was uncomfortable when the band members started talking amongst themselves in Polish. She described that the energy on the bus changed and the band started looking at the two of them as if they were prey.”
The girls decided to get off the bus, and the victim claims she went to the bathroom beforehand, and that the vocalist Piotrowski followed her. Documents describe that the woman tried to resist when the musician began to unbuckle his belt and that she said she wanted to leave the bus with her friend, but the band told her that her friend had already left. The description then continues: “She tried to push Piotrowski away, but he grabbed her arm and turned her so that she was facing the sink and the bathroom mirror. She saw in the mirror out of the corner of her eye that each of the band members took turns raping her.”
The victim was taken to the hospital after the incident, which confirmed the presence of serious injuries to her arm consistent with being held against her will, and injuries to her wrist. The victim said the injuries to her wrist were from sticking her hand against the wall to distract herself from what was happening.
The band was questioned by police and confirmed that the woman was on the bus, but their main claim was that she went there of her own accord. They all said they would not answer any more questions without a translator present. The lead singer and bassist refused to provide DNA samples.
The members are currently being held in Los Angeles, and their lawyer claims there is another side to the story, which will be revealed.
