Get to know the band's work.

The Brazilian Progressive Rock/Heavy Metal band, Maestrick, approaches music in a broad way.

The group's art concept draws on influences from bands like Queen, Metallica, and Dream Theater, as well as artistic movements such as Surrealism and the works of artist and film director Tim Burton. Maestrick proposes a "Sonic Watercolor" encompassing diverse artistic facets such as music, painting, film, literature, theater, and dance.

Formed in the city of São José do Rio Preto/SP, in 2006, the band, which today consists of Fabio Caldeira (vocals and piano); Renato “Montanha” Somera (bass and vocals); Heitor Matos (drums and percussion) and Paulo Pacheco (guitar), brought, along with their first album, “Unpuzzle!”, a modern work based on fantastic realism.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Gustavo Carmo (VersOver, Imago Mortis, House of Bones) at AR-15 Studios (Bebedouro/SP) and AK-47 Studios (Seattle/USA), “Unpuzzle!” was among the 10 best releases of 2011, according to the Estadão/SP newspaper blog, and was elected the best band in the State of São Paulo, according to Whiplash.
