Band makes announcement on official website

Machine Head bassist and founding member Adam Duce left the band this weekend. The announcement was made on Machine Head's official website.

In the statement, the band says the split was amicable and wishes the bassist the best for his future projects. Furthermore, Machine Head stated that they will continue as a trio for the time being and are working on a new album.

The day after the statement, Robb Flynn announced on his blog that the bassist had been fired. "It was one of the hardest decisions of my life.".

Flynn said that Duce had stopped working with the band a decade ago and that they had hoped the bassist would quit himself. “I don’t blame him. It’s hard to keep the passion going.”.

Adam Duce formed Machine Head with Robb Flynn in 1991.
