In the latest Wikimetal poll, Kiss and Slipknot tied for the best stage costumes, with 33% and 32% of the votes, respectively. The difference between the two bands was 11 votes. Ghost came in third place with 16%.
Kiss is one of the most iconic bands when you think of groups with costumes. The band, however, went through a phase of unmasking during the 80s. Regarding the possibility of Slipknot doing the same thing, Corey Taylor commented that there's no chance: “I know why they did it. They stagnated and needed a revolution. But I think our masks evolve (…) we allow ourselves to evolve and update with our albums. So although we could, we won't. Because it's not just about the masks, it's about everything.”
