Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine posted on his official Twitter account lamenting the tragedy of the plane crash that killed most of the Chapecoense football team last night.
First, the vocalist shared the news, writing "Horrible news," and then posted a message: "I send my condolences to the Brazilian football team Chapecoense and to all who lost their lives in the plane crash that happened on Monday night in Colombia."
Colombian authorities have confirmed the deaths of 71 people in the plane crash that occurred in the city of La Unión, near Medellín, Colombia. There were 77 people on board the flight: 68 passengers and nine crew members. Six people were rescued alive, including three players from the team.
Sepultura also posted a tweet with a mourning photo and hashtags supporting the team.
