At the Camarote Andante Carnival block party in Salvador, musician Carlinhos Brown surprised everyone by inviting Angra and Sepultura to the festivities. The bands played several rock hits such as " We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister and " Highway to Hell " by AC/DC. Sepultura also played "Refuse Resist" .
Rafael Bittencourt and Felipe Andreoli from Angra commented: “We already had this idea, this desire to participate in the Salvador Carnival. But now we have achieved this moment, considered historic, not only for Angra or Sepultura, but for all of Brazilian music .
Andreas Kisser also commented on the event: “We were indeed apprehensive about encountering resistance from the axé music crowd, but Carlinhos Brown and we believe that music should unite people, not divide them; music should be an example, without prejudice, of peace and love.”
