A post on the official page of the Kensington police department in Canada went viral this week for claiming that drunk drivers will be forced to listen to Nickelback.

Check out the text of the publication:

"A gift from Kensington Police for those who drink and drive. Bonus Christmas Edition.".

The Christmas season is approaching, and that means more social events, Christmas parties, and more excuses for drinking. Now, because of this, people naturally need to plan their evenings better with driving responsibilities in mind. To avoid problems at the end of the night, know beforehand who will be driving. Have the number of a taxi company or plan to sleep at a friend's house. Anything you can do to eliminate the possibility of drunk driving.

Now, having said that, know that Kensington police will be patrolling until the end of the year looking for those of you fools who think you can drink and drive. And when we catch you, and we will catch you, in addition to a hefty fine, a criminal record, and years of suspended driving privileges, we'll give you the bonus of listening to Nickelback in the police car on the way to jail.

No, no, no need to thank us, we figured if you're foolish enough to drive after drinking, Chad Kroeger and his boys are the perfect gift for you.

So please, let's not ruin this perfect, sealed copy of Nickelback. Don't drive drunk, or we won't let you listen.

Happy Saturday everyone!
