Lead singer says recordings will begin in 2015
Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne revealed that the band will record one more studio album and embark on a final world tour: “We all made friends, we didn’t mess around, we all knew we had a job to do and we did it. It was a lot of fun. So we’ll do a new album and one last tour .
Asked when the decision was made, Ozzy said: “After the dust settled from the last tour, we started discussing the idea because we were being asked about it all the time. I asked Sharon and she said the record label wants a new album. I think we'll do it with Rick Rubin (producer) again.”
Bassist Geezer Butler commented earlier this year that Black Sabbath already has the beginnings of a new album composed: “We have four tracks ready that didn’t make it onto “13”. So maybe we’ll do another five and complete a new album, if it works out. We wouldn’t do it just for the sake of doing it, or for money or anything else.”
The vocalist also said that the new Black Sabbath album will begin recording early next year: "I don't know if we'll do it in England or Los Angeles, but I'd travel to the moon if necessary!"
