Surgery to treat diverticulitis was a success

Black Sabbath founder and drummer Bill Ward underwent surgery yesterday in California to treat diverticulitis he recently suffered from. The operation was successful and Ward should be fully recovered within a few weeks.

Bill Ward was scheduled to attend the opening party for his art collection “Absence Of Corners” in Maryland on October 26th, but due to surgery, the party will be rescheduled for another date.

“I’m truly sorry we have to postpone my participation,” said Ward. “I want to thank the Annapolis Collection Gallery for everything they are doing. I’m honored that they will be exhibiting my work, and I hope to be there soon to celebrate this moment with everyone .

Bill Ward's surgery took place during Black Sabbath's shows in Brazil. In addition to the three original members, Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler, the band brought along drummer Tommy Clufetos, who has been with them on the tour since the beginning.
