Avenged Sevenfold released a music video today for their cover of the traditional Mexican song Malaguena Salerosa. The song, originally released in the 1940s, has been covered more than 200 times by different artists.
Vocalist M. Shadows commented on the song choice: “It’s always been one of our favorite songs. It can be done in so many ways and has such a rich history in Mexico. I remember traveling to Mexico with friends and always hearing this song, and being amazed by the guitar. It made me think we could do our own arrangement.”
This song is the first Avenged Sevenfold track to be sung in Spanish. Check out the cover:
