Brian Johnson revealed plans to the radio station
AC/DC will enter a studio in Vancouver in May to record a new album, and are also scheduled to tour with 40 shows this year. The news was revealed on Friday by vocalist Brian Johnson in a surprise call to a Florida radio station.
“We were denying everything because we weren’t sure. One of our members is ill, and we’re very private about these things, so we didn’t talk much. But I think we’ll be going into the studio in Vancouver in May,” said Johnson.
The lead singer explained that the band will be celebrating 40 years on the road: “We’ve been around for 40 years, so we’ll try to do 40 shows to thank the fans for their loyalty.”
AC/DC's last album, "Black Ice," was released in 2008 and followed by a two-year world tour.
