The Brazilian band SIRIUN needs to be on your radar of national metal acts to check out. With their extreme sound, rooted in a mix of thrash and death metal with a modern twist, the group recently released their new single "Deep Water Flow".

Wikimetal 's discoveries at Groover, the song proposes a drowning in one's own mind to answer the call of the unconscious – but in an aggressive way that SIRIUN's sound conveys. "The protagonist is being dragged by a spiral into deep waters that symbolize the depths of his unconscious, (...) he is dragged into his own darkness, finds the most primitive material of his essence and is thus initiated into the mysteries of existence," the band comments in a press release.

The release is accompanied by a psychedelic and chaotic music video. The video was filmed in Rio de Janeiro, directed by Samyr Novelli, edited by Samyr Novelli and Felipe Sales, and produced by the band.

To date, SIRIUN has released one album, In Chaos We Trust (2018), and several singles, as well as performing alongside bands such as Krisiun, The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, Obituary, and Nervosa. The band's current lineup consists of Alexandre Castellan (guitarist/vocalist), Braulio Drumond (drummer), Djavan Fernandes (guitarist), and Marcos Medeiros (bassist).
