The Brazilian metal band's second album draws inspiration from psychology and spirituality to explore the human psyche

Siriun released the album Psychonaut and the music video for the title track on March 26th.

“Psychonaut” is the third single from the album, released after “ Encoded Inception ” and “ Another Reality ,” which already gave a glimpse of what was to come on the Brazilian metal band's second album.

“Psychonaut” and the album's influences in the music video

The music video for "Psychonaut" is a journey through the universe with lots of colors and a fast pace, and it even includes a warning for those with photosensitive epilepsy or similar conditions.

The animation, through the lens of astronauts' journey, explores cosmic elements, references to various spiritual practices, mythological figures, and hallucinogenic substances.

All these characters and settings are in tune with the narrative that permeates the album, mastered by Mark Lewis , who has previously worked with Megadeth , Trivium, and DevilDriver .

According to the band's own Bandcamp , the successor to In Chaos We Trust portrays the intimate alchemical journey of its protagonist in a non-linear fashion.

To give you an idea of what to expect from Siriun's new work, some of the inspirations cited are Buddhism, Taoism, shamanism, alchemy, and figures like Carl Jung and Carlos Castaneda.

The album is now available on streaming platforms and challenges listeners to look into the kaleidoscopic heart of the storm.
