This Thursday, the 10th, Sioux 66 releases the music video for their cover of "O Calibre" by Paralamas do Sucesso .
The new version by the São Paulo-based hard rock quintet debuted as the soundtrack for the Globo Um Lugar ao Sol . Sioux 66's reinterpretation gave a darker and heavier feel to the Paralamas classic and was originally released by the band on their second album, Caos (2016). The video was produced and directed by Pedro Margheritto in São Paulo.
Sioux 66 is a hard rock band currently consisting of Igor Godoi (vocals), Yohan Kisser and Bento Mello (guitars), Fabio Bonnies (bass), and Gabriel Haddad (drums). The band was formed in 2011 and blends elements of rock 'n' roll into their sound.
Currently, the members are working on their fourth studio album, the successor to MMXIX (2019). At the time of the release of their third album, Sioux 66 performed at major events such as Horror Expo, the Dia de Los Muertos festival in downtown São Paulo, and opening for Shaman at Audio Club. The band has also opened for Aerosmith and Papa Roach in Brazil and is a confirmed act for Rock in Rio 2022 .
