The new Rede Globo features rock music on its soundtrack! The musical style is represented in "Um Lugar ao Sol" by Sioux 66 , a quintet from São Paulo featuring Bento Mello and Yohan Kisser , with the song "O Calibre," a cover of Os Paralamas do Sucesso .

Starring Cauã Reymond , the soap opera premiered this Monday, the 8th. Sioux 66 was already airing in prime time on the channel with promos for the premiere, introducing the characters of the first original drama in that time slot since Amor de Mãe (2019).

The band's version of "O Calibre" was released a few years ago on the album Caos (2016), the group's second album. On the tour promoting the project, Sioux 66 received excellent reviews from critics and opened for Aerosmith and Papa Roach .

“We always had the idea of getting closer to the big bands of Brazilian rock, we wanted to be one of them. That's why we chose it: it's a very heavy song, with very strong lyrics. I think we put our own signature on the sound,” comments guitarist Bento. “It's crazy to see the song resurface after so long, we didn't even expect it. It's an incredible opportunity, a very good feeling. People are really enjoying it, we've received many messages. Now it's time to enjoy the moment.”

The news comes shortly after the first show celebrating 10 years of their career , held in São Paulo last weekend. Sioux 66 is currently working on their fourth album of original material, already in pre-production, but without a title or release date yet announced.
