The Minas Gerais-based punk and hardcore band Traste "Pietá" last Friday, the 13th . The track is accompanied by a music video.
This is the third single promoting the new album Rastros, Resquícios y Otras Cositas Mas . It will be released on July 18th by Psywar Records.
“Pietá” is one of the most significant songs on the album, according to a note posted by the band:
“It points to several sonic paths we are exploring, and the theme was something very powerful that we needed to explore. The suffering of innocent victims of wars and massacres, such as the Palestinian people and the current situation in Gaza.”
Traste expresses all the revolt and indignation through the music video, produced in partnership with Inhamis Paulo Gustavo Law .
“The lyrics are written from the point of view of someone who is there, stunned, searching for their loved ones and finding them among the rubble. Scenes of parents with their dead children, or of desperate siblings with the bodies of loved ones in their arms, left us stunned.”
