Silverchair will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Frogstomp , at a special event. The party is being organized by Sony Music and will take place on the 26th at the Metro Theatre in Sydney, where the group played their first shows.

According to TheMusic.Com.Au , the celebration will feature a performance by The Buoys and a press conference with founding members, drummer Ben Gillies and bassist Chris Joannou , moderated by former Triple J radio music director Richard Kingsmill . The event will also include limited edition vinyl records from the band and photographs by renowned photographer Tony Mott .

Daniel Johns already announced that he will not be attending the event. The vocalist has kept his distance from Silverchair since their official split in 2011, making several statements reinforcing that the band will not reunite.
