Slipknot's Sid Wilson launches rap and hip-hop record label.

Slipknot's DJ also announced the label's first release.

Slipknot 's DJ, Sid Wilson , has launched a new record label called Vomit Face Records , focused on rap and hip-hop. The artist also revealed his first track released under the label.

In a press release, Sid said: “Vomit Face Records is about tearing down walls. This is for artists who don’t fit in and never wanted to. They are rebels in motion who stand out without remorse. It’s about celebrating imperfection, people making real art from the mess in a world that rewards the fake. It’s where sound, hard work and spirit collide and nobody can tell you how you should look or feel.”

“True art isn’t beautiful; it should awaken something slightly uncomfortable and break down those barriers to create something new within you. It’s a place for the misfits to have a voice and a place to express themselves,” Wilson added.

The label will work with diverse artists, including Wilson himself, J57, DEAD X HEDS, Rome Fortune, Ricardo Grimm , and Mars Black . In addition, American rapper Lil Bushwick is featured on the label's first release: "Take It Back ," a track produced by DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit .

Regarding the first release, Sid recounted: “Bushwick Bill and I promised each other to record an album,” Wilson said. “After several scheduling obstacles, Bill sadly passed away due to an illness that most people were unaware of. Upon meeting his son and discovering that he was also a musical artist, I promised the spirit of the great Bushwick that I would fulfill our pact by producing an album for his son.”
