The iconic industrial metal band Static-X , known for their heavy sound and striking performances, made their Brazilian debut on their new tour, with the American group Dope as special guests. The performance was part of a tour that both bands have been promoting in Latin America. And finally, they arrived in São Paulo for a single show in the country.

Dope opened the night with a powerful and direct set. Starting with “Blood Money,” the band immediately showed what they were made of, delivering heavy beats and industrial riffs, while the audience got into the rhythm. Next, “Bring It On” and “Bitch” raised the intensity, with vocalist Edsel Dope demonstrating charisma and a striking presence. If “Debonaire” rekindled the spirit of the 2000s, the track “Die, Boom, Bang, Burn” had fans singing along to its chorus, highlighting Edsel's incredible vocals. As the show drew to a close, they finished in a party mood with a cover of “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record),” getting everyone on their feet.

Dope's show in São Paulo was an explosion of energy, in which the band delivered a sequence of hits that ignited the audience from the very first song. Despite a set of only 25 minutes, Dope demonstrated vigor and consistency, keeping the audience energized with each song. The band's direct and straightforward performance highlighted the raw style that industrial metal fans appreciate. This spontaneous and authentic delivery, especially through the riffs and Edsel's vocal intensity, solidified the band's presence on stage, leaving the audience ready for what was to come.

Static-X's turn comes right after Dope

It took almost an hour for Static-X to take the stage at Terra SP, which further heightened the audience's anticipation. Composed of Tony Campos (bass), Koichi Fukuda (guitar), Ken Jay (drums), and the enigmatic vocalist Xer0 , with his imposing mask and red eyes, the band opened with "Hollow" and delivered what the fans wanted, bringing heavy industrial beats and Xer0's distinctive vocals, who took on Wayne Static with an intensity worthy of the original frontman.

The second song was “Terminator Oscillator,” which had the crowd jumping with its electronic beats. The band's mascot even made an appearance on stage. The vocalist's performance stood out, respectfully channeling Wayne's spirit with his own unique approach that won over the audience. The sequence with “Love Dump” and “Sweat of the Bud” transported fans back to the band's golden years. And the crowd responded by headbanging and moshing in the middle of the dance floor.

“Fix” and “Wisconsin Death Trip” were explosive moments, with fans singing every verse and jumping to the beat and heavy riffs. The audience, clearly passionate about these classic songs, experienced a unique moment, immersing themselves in a nostalgia full of emotion. The track “Bled for Days” brought a visceral touch to the show, while “Black and White” created an emotional connection that involved everyone present. Xer0 and the rest of the band stood out with impeccable technical execution, and the interaction with the audience was incredible.

Emotion and tribute during “Cold”

One of the most moving moments was during “Cold,” which was dedicated to the late Wayne Static. With his image projected on the screens, the tribute touched the hearts of the fans, many visibly emotional. Emotion filled the Terra SP , and this moment brought an emotional weight to the show, honoring Wayne's legacy and showing how much he is still loved and respected by fans. The band closed with “Push It,” bringing the audience to the climax of the night with an intense performance. The crowd responded with unparalleled energy, singing along and rocking out until the very last second.

The show was intense, but short, lasting only 55 minutes. Furthermore, Static-X continues to carry on the band's legacy with dignity and honor Wayne, delivering an immersive and memorable experience that proves they are still a powerful force in the industrial metal scene.
