Billboard has named Shinedown the most popular rock band on the radio in history. The ranking was created from data that Billboard collects weekly in the US .
Shinedown has surpassed bands like Three Days Grace and Godsmack , who came in 2nd and 3rd place on the Mainstream Rock Van Halen and Disturbed are in 4th and 5th place , respectively. The group already has 16 singles that reached number one on the chart.
In a statement, the band said they “have no words to describe the feeling” and emphasized that “there’s only one boss: everyone in the audience.” They also thanked “all the terrestrial radio stations” for “being there from the beginning.”
