American folk blues rock musician Shawn James announces his highly anticipated visit to Brazil in 2026.
With a sound that ignores genre boundaries, the artist will perform in Porto Alegre (August 6th, at Teatro Opinião), São Paulo (August 7th, at Cine Joia), and Curitiba (August 8th, at Hard Rock Café). General ticket sales for all dates will begin on Thursday, May 14th, at 10 AM, on the Sympla (Porto Alegre), Livepass (São Paulo), and Disk Ingressos (Curitiba) websites.
Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, in the United States, Shawn James grew up attending church and absorbing the roots of gospel music. Growing up surrounded by music made with heart and soul, among authentic and hardworking people, shaped his musical identity.
“I started releasing my own music in 2012 and haven’t stopped since. I play a wide variety of styles, from folk to blues, including R&B, gospel, rock, metal, and a lot in between,” explains the musician. For him, the label matters less than the delivery: “The main constant among all these genres is that everything is done with emotion, feeling, heart, and a lot of soul. I believe in the things I say and I deeply feel what I play.”.
One of the highlights of Shawn's discography is the track "Through The Valley," which became a huge hit as the soundtrack for the acclaimed video game and TV series The Last of Us. The artist is now in a new phase and is preparing the release of his next studio album, Passage, which debuts on June 12th and has been previewed by the singles "Icarus," "My Juliet," and "It's Alright."
