Shawn “Clown” Crahan , percussionist and founding member of Slipknot, shared a photo on his social media of a new mask with the caption: “I swore I wouldn’t let this happen.” According to fans, it’s a version that has never appeared on stage before.

The mask is fleshy and bloody, and according to some fans, it has only been seen before at the Knotfest Museum , although it closely resembles the one Crahan wore on a 1999 tour.

Regarding Slipknot, everyone is expecting the band to announce soon who their new drummer will be after Jay Weinberg 's sudden departure . The band is also expected to share details about their experimental album, Look Outside Your Window.

In an interview with NME , Corey Taylor spoke about what fans could expect from the much-discussed project: “I was talking to Clown about it the other day and he said, ‘One of the reasons it hasn’t been released is because you keep releasing stuff that conflicts with when I want to release it!’”

Shawn “Clown” also spoke about the topic: “It’s definitely coming next year. You have my word,” he insisted. “The artwork’s been done. It’s been mixed. It’s been mastered. It’s definitely going to be released in 2024 and it’s a great album.”
