In a recent interview published on the Puraphy System of a Down bassist recounted a series of personal experiences and those with the band. Among them, a surprise: his friendship with Kanye West and his admiration for the Kardashian .
The link between the sisters and Odadjian wasn't accidental; both have Armenian origins. When asked if he had ever met the Kardashians, the musician replied that he knew them well because of his friendship with rapper Kanye West, who was married to Kim Kardashian . "I used to be very good friends with Kanye. Although it happened a few years ago, I've been to their house several times," he said.
Odadjian also stated that he "really likes" the Kardashian family and recalled a show that System of a Down played in Armenia in 2015, in the same place where Kanye West had performed the previous week.
Another member of System of a Down, vocalist Serj Tankian , also spoke about one of the Kardashian sisters in a recent interview with Consequence Of Sound . The musician expressed his respect for socialite Kim Kardashian for using her social position to speak out about the Armenian genocide of 1915. “I have a lot of respect for her,” Tankian said. “She’s been really incredible on justice issues.”
