Shavo Odadjian , bassist for System of a Down , revealed he is working on a new solo project, which he described as "heavy".
While System of a Down is on a brief hiatus, Shavo has decided to dedicate himself to his rock and hip-hop band North Kingsley , as well as his own projects, as he told Music Connection .
“System is taking a break until next year, so I’ve been working on the new North Kingsley album. It’s almost ready. We have six songs ready and you can check them out on Spotify ,” he said.
“It’s a new project, so it’s constantly growing and evolving. As I evolve, I drop what we just did and move on to the next style. It’s fun. It’s musical freedom. It’s really cool.”
Despite revealing the existence of his solo project, Odadjian didn't give many details about what it's about. "I also have some music I'm working on for a side project – just me. It's called The Shavo Project and it's pretty heavy. That's all I can say for now."
